Do You Know Someone in Grade 8 / Secondary 2?
Is someone in your family in grade 8 / secondary 2? Maybe a friend? Or even a neighbour down the road? Wouldn’t it rock their world to win a four-day all-expenses-paid trip to the coast of beautiful British Columbia? One lucky grade 8 / secondary 2 class will win Canada’s Coolest School Trip!
For the third year, the My Parks Pass program is sending an entire grade 8 / secondary 2 class on the trip of a lifetime! All the students have to do is to pick a Parks Canada place and create a video that explains why it’s so important to Canada. The theme of this year’s video contest is “Canada’s Coolest Stories: where nature and history meet”. They’ll learn a ton about Canada’s nature and history along the way and they might even win an amazing trip to Parks Canada places in British Columbia!
That’s right! The winning class will fly with Air Canada to experience the region’s wildlife first-hand at Gulf Islands National Park Reserve, venture to Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site to try their hand at living the life of a World War I or II soldier, experience the traditions of local First Nations, tour Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Site after-dark and sleep under the stars in Parks Canada’s new oTENTik camping experience. Lucky kids! But there are plenty of other amazing prizes to win too from gift packages to field trips.
To enter, grade 8 / secondary 2 classes need to submit their video at MyParksPass.ca before February 24, 2014. The winning class will be announced in April 2014. More information and official contest rules can be found at MyParksPass.ca.
So pass this email along! You might be helping to send someone off on an adventure of a lifetime!
