My Parks Pass provides hands-on and online opportunities for youth engagement, learning and connection with Parks Canada’s natural and cultural heritage. The program is proud to collaborate with dedicated partners to ensure that Canadian students have an opportunity to learn about the stories and places represented by national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites.
The My Parks Pass program includes two exciting contests: Canada’s Coolest School Trip and Ultimate Family Adventure. This year, a lucky grade 8 class won a trip to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and a family of four will soon win a similar trip, thanks to many partners who helped make these great prizes possible.
The My Parks Pass program would like to acknowledge involvement, support and enthusiasm of the partners.
Air Canada is the national partner of the 2012-2013 edition of the My Parks Pass program contests. They are proud to fly the winning class of Canada’s Coolest School Trip as well as the winning family of the Ultimate Family Adventure to Sydney, Nova Scotia, where they will take part in the Louisbourg300 celebrations as well as taking in the sights and sounds of Cape Breton Island.

The Royal Canadian Mint is proud to celebrate Canada’s history, culture and values with special collector coins honouring major national achievements and themes. In celebration of the 300th anniversary of the settlement of Louisbourg, the Mint has produced two commemorative coins. The winning class of the Canada’s Coolest School Trip contest will have the privilege of participating in a special ceremony to unveil the two coins’ designs at the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site in Nova Scotia, and to learn from the artists that designed the coins.

Cape Breton University's faculty, students and graduates are recognized nationally and internationally for innovative accomplishments, from academic excellence to athletic prowess. As this year marks the 300th anniversary of the founding of île Royal (Cape Breton Island) and the settlement of Louisbourg, Cape Breton University is pleased to be a partner in support of the My Parks Pass program and its efforts to connect youth with nature and history. The winning class of Canada’s Coolest School Trip contest will experience campus life while staying overnight in the university dorms.
