If your son or daughter is in Grade 8/Secondary 2, they will receive their "My Parks Pass" from their teacher in April 2013. The pass grants them free daily access to over 200 Parks Canada locations for a full year (valid until April 30, 2014).
 
By showing their "My Parks Pass", they can also obtain an instant discount for the entire family on a daily family or group pass. The "My Parks Pass" entitles you to purchase an annual park or historic site pass or a Parks Canada Discovery Pass at a discounted rate. Buy yours today for an adventure the entire family will enjoy!
 
Home schooled students who were missed during the distribution can request a student kit through the Parks Canada National Information Service at 1-888-773-8888 or information@pc.gc.ca.
 

The Fine Print

 
Using your son or daughter's My Parks Pass
 
  • Present your My Parks Pass at any Parks Canada location to receive one free Youth Daily Entry.
  • The pass also allows a discount on a Family/Group Daily Entry Fee equal to the value of the Youth Daily Entry Fee at the specific Parks Canada location.
  • Entry fees are different at all Parks Canada locations. To view fees for all Parks Canada locations, please visit: their website.
  • The Family/Group Daily Entry is valid for up to seven people arriving together in one vehicle at any National Park or National Marine Conservation Area.
  • The Family/Group Daily Entry is valid for up to seven people, and a maximum of two adults, arriving together in one vehicle at any National Historic Site.
  • Only one Youth or Family/Group Daily Entry can be discounted per My Parks Pass per visit.
  • The discount is valid at all Parks Canada locations that charge entry fees. To view these locations, please visit: this Parks Canada webpage.
  • The discount is not valid on any other Parks Canada products.

My Parks Pass online discount for a Parks Canada Family/Group Discovery Pass
 
  • Each V.I.P. Code can be used to purchase one Parks Canada Family/Group Discovery Pass at a discounted rate from the Parks Canada Online Store. 
  • The discounted Parks Canada Family/Group Discovery Pass will cost $103.10. 
  • The discount is equal to the value of one Parks Canada Youth Individual Discovery Pass ($33.30). With a regular pass value of $136.40, the discount is approximately 24.4%.
  • The Family/Group Discovery Pass is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
  • The Family/Group Discovery Pass is valid at all Parks Canada locations that charge entry fees. To view these locations, please visit: this Parks Canada webpage.
