Opened in 1849, the Saint-Ours Canal connects the St. Lawrence River and Lake Champlain. Known as the tenth lock of the Richelieu, the Saint-Ours Canal was an essential part of international trade for over a century. Now it's mostly used for pleasure boating. Open the gates of the lock and sail through history on the waters of the Richelieu River!
