Vuntut National Park

Vuntut National Park, which means "among the lakes" in the Gwitchin language, encompasses 4,345. sq. km of wilderness in the northwestern corner of the Yukon Territory. Vuntut, along with Ivvavik, represent an international effort to protect a major northern ecosystem defined in part by the Porcupine Caribou Herd -- one of the largest caribou herds in North America.
